Rick Engineering Company's Las Vegas office has the following job openings:

  • ASSOCIATE PROJECT ENGINEER/MANAGER

    Candidate will have a BSCE Registration plus a minimum of five (5) years of public works infrastructure or land development experience or the equivalent of ten (10) years of total work experience.

    Candidates for this position must demonstrate independent thought and decision-making abilities, possess management and supervisory skills, and be adept in establishing and maintaining strong and positive working relationships with clients and public agency personnel as well as in-house professional peers.

    Candidate’s experience must include the following: supervision of engineering designers (including daily assignments of work, review of work, and quality control), management of project schedules and budgets, preparation of contracts, fee proposals, and scopes of work, and significant experience in client and public-agency interactions.

    Candidate’s technical experience must include the following: preliminary engineering design studies (incorporating land use and zoning considerations, assessment and consideration of site constraints, and potential regulatory issues), preparation/processing of tentative and final subdivision maps, preparation/processing of regulatory site plans and development plans for commercial developments, preparation/processing of final engineering plans (grading, streets, sewer/water, etc.), and the preparation and review of attendant hydrologic studies and drainage reports.

    Position generally requires extensive experience and demonstrated engineering abilities in all aspects of land development projects and in interacting comfortably and productively with clients and public agencies.

  • PRINCIPAL PROJECT ENGINEER/MANAGER

    Candidate shall have a BSCE degree, Nevada Registration as a Professional Civil Engineer, plus a minimum of seven years experience in public works infrastructure or land development or the equivalent work experience of twelve years in this industry. Candidate must have a minimum of three years management Experience supervising the work of designers and drafters.

    Candidate for this position must demonstrate strong independent thought and decision-making abilities; possess demonstrated leadership and supervisory skills; exhibit management ability; be adept in establishing and maintaining strong and positive working relationships with clients/public-agency personnel and in-house staff.

    Candidate’s managerial experience shall also include the following:
    supervision of engineering design teams; management of project schedules and budgets; preparation of contracts, fee proposals, and scopes of work; significant experience in preparation of contracts, fee proposals, and scopes of work; significant experience in client and public-agency interactions.

    Candidate’s technical experience must include the following:
    the ability to perform conceptual and preliminary engineering design studies (incorporating land use and zoning considerations, assessment and consideration of site constraints, infrastructure requirements, and potential regulatory issues); preparation/processing of regulatory plans; preparation/processing of public improvement plans (private and public); the preparation and processing of hydrologic studies and drainage reports.

    The Candidate must be experienced in CAD Design applications as they relate to land development design.
