North Embarcadero Visionary Plan  Sabre Springs Community Plan Amendment

Miramar Ranch North (Scripps Ranch) Community Plan, Comprehensive Revision/Plan Amendments
San Diego, California

This Community Plan has guided the development of a balanced community of residential and business park uses with an open feeling. Scripps Ranch is identifiable by extensive eucalyptus plantings, natural ridges and steep slopes, and a 673-acre natural open space network. 628 acres are dedicated to residential use, 60 to acres industrial/business park, and 41 acres to parks and sports fields.

The goal of protecting the viewshed around Miramar Lake was achieved in the 1987 comprehensive amendment by coordinating and conducting a series of public meetings with the Community Planning Group. Close contact was maintained throughout the plan review and approval process with the City Planning, Park and Recreation, and Engineering Departments, the San Diego Unified School District, the Regional Water Quality Control Board, and Utility agencies.
