El Camino Real Road and Bridge Widening

Rick Engineering Company's Transportation Division was responsible for the widening and realignment of the existing El Camino Real roadway and bridge. The project included the preparation of Environmental Impact Report (EIR) and Environmental Assessment (EA) documents in conjunction with the City of San Diego, Caltrans, and environmental consultant staff. Other tasks included preliminary engineering design, preliminary hydrology and hydraulic studies, preliminary bridge studies and analysis, hydrology and hydraulic studies of the San Dieguito River, preparation of environmental exhibits for inclusion into the EIR & EA documents, utility impact studies, right-of-way documentation, and preliminary construction estimates for this project. A portion of the project was funded by the City of San Diego.
