The City of Atascadero awarded Phase II of the Atascadero Downtown Streetscape project to Rick Engineering Company’s San Luis Obispo office. Working with the City of Atascadero, Rick Engineering Company is in the process of providing design development, surveying, construction documents, and construction administration for 7 key locations within the downtown project area. The streetscape redevelopment project is Atascadero’s effort to revitalize the downtown area.

The redevelopment program includes downtown historic entry monumentation, enhanced streetscape and landscape medians, safety and traffic calming techniques, improved bus stops, pedestrian public realm improvements, community furnishings , lighting design and coordination, Atascadero Bridge renovation with enhanced rail and median planter, and the Highway 101 pedestrian tunnel entries renovation.
