SURVEYOR ASSISTANT
Candidate must have 1 year of technical survey training, plus 1 year of experience or equivalent work experience of 2 years. That experience must include construction staking such as: grade staking, underground utilities, surface improvements, preliminary surveys, traverse & aerial control. Must be able to perform basic survey calculations using programmable calculators and field data collectors. Must be familiar with use and maintenance of conventional survey equipment including Total Stations and GPS systems.
Position requires the ability to lift 50 lbs., stand for 8 to 10 hours per day and swing an 8 lb. sledge-hammer.
Candidate must be dependable and display the ability to work well with others as they will be on a survey team. Good driving record is a must.

Experience must include preparation and processing of storm drain systems design, rational method calculations, detention basin design, water quality/BMP design and floodplain mapping and using GIS tools for water resources applications.
HEC I/HEC-HMS and HEC II/HEC-RAS experience is desired. NPDES experience is also highly desirable. Must demonstrate good oral and written communication skills and have knowledge of jurisdictional codes, standards and procedures, preferably in the San Diego area.

SENIOR TRANSPORTATION PROJECT MANAGER
Candidate shall have a BSCE degree, California Registration as a Professional Civil Engineer, plus a minimum of seven years experience in land development and/or public works design with an emphasis in roadway design engineering or the equivalent work experience of twelve years. Candidate must have a minimum three years management experience supervising the work of designers and CAD drafters/technicians.
Candidate's managerial experience shall also include the following: supervision of engineering design teams; management of project schedules and budgets; preparation of contracts, fee proposals, and scopes of work; and experience in client and public-agency interactions.
Position generally requires extensive experience and demonstrated engineering abilities in all aspects of roadway engineering projects; and in interacting comfortably and productively with clients and public agencies.
