Rick Engineering Company offers a variety of SWPPP Training services which include: on-site trailer talks, formal workshops / seminars, and tailgate discussions.

Formal Workshops and seminars are tailored to your storm water needs. Topics include: Proper Best Management Practice (BMP) application and installation, regulatory framework, SWPPP implementation and up-keep, sampling, Weather Triggered Action Plans (WTAP), "What to do when the Regulator visits the site" as well as other topics tailored to your requirements. Formal workshops include multi-media slide and sound presentations, student training materials, and question and answer periods.

On-site trailer SWPPP training is included with all the SWPPPs we prepare. This is a great tool for the owner and contractors to review the site's SWPPP prior to ground disturbing activities. In this session we review the entire SWPPP, including the storm water sampling component, paying special attention to those pages that must be continually reviewed as site conditions and personnel change. Special attention is placed on coordinating BMP implementation to the construction activity schedule. Trailer talks will offer your contractors overall SWPPP training as well as site-specific issues relating to erosion and sediment control.

Tailgate discussions are tailored to site-specific issues and are a great tool to make sure all your contractors and subcontractors are aware of any current concerns. Topics include contractor yards, vehicle parking and fueling areas, solid waste storage, line flushing and testing, and storm water sampling from the construction site.
