The Construction
Management Division of RICK ENGINEERING COMPANY provides
cost saving and constructability assistance through all
phases of project development. Our Construction Managers can provide
project cost and construction schedule projection reports at the
very early stages of project conception, and then follow through
to project completion with plan constructability review, bidding,
contractor negotiation, construction, coordination and project
close-out. Project cost and schedule reports are updated at each
significant project milestone, providing our clients the resources
necessary to manage the project finances.
Rick Engineering Company's Construction Managers are experienced
with a multitude of development types. These include single and
multi-family residential projects, commercial centers, and industrial
developments, as well as major streets and other public works projects.

Construction of this 4700-acre residential/golf
course development included
extending and widening of Carmel Valley Road, Camino Ruiz and San
Dieguito Road. Also included were two sewer pump stations, a regional
water reservoir, four bridges, and numerous offsite traffic signal
upgrades, in addition to the onsite grading and infrastructure
improvements. Rick Engineering Company assisted the builder in
the public bidding of all CFD work, hosted project status meetings,
reviewed progress payments, field verified grading quantities and
processed all as-builts.
Construction of this 430-acre residential/golf course
development included work
adjacent to the environmentally sensitive Moosa Creek. Rick Engineering
Company assisted the developer by providing SWPPP field administrative
services, preparing County Supervising Engineer grading reports,
and coordinating plan revisions.
This ten-year effort to upgrade the city’s
sewer system included construction of numerous water reclamation
plants, biosolids handling facilities, pump stations and miles
of conveyance pipelines. As a subconsultant to SVERDRUP/Kaiser,
Rick Engineering Company prepared all construction change order
cost estimates throughout the project.
